The
rehabilitation of last years top scorer Elliot Jolly is
almost complete, as his second goal in three appearances
proves. Saturdays game was his first full match of the
season and although he's not quite the finished article
yet , it hopefully won't be long before TMS are once again
an
attacking force, something which has been lacking in this
seasons play to date.
A vastly improved performance
right across the team, this was the strongest side TMS
have been able to field in the last six games. Playing
against the wind in the first half TMS held firm and both
sides cancelled each other out with some excellent play
from both sides defence and attack, with strong midfield
support.
After the break it
was the home side who broke the deadlock with a smooth
move that ultimately ended with a simple tap in. Threemilestone
replied almost immediately with a well taken goal from
Jolly, who converted right footed past the outstretched
keeper.
The match looked to be heading for a draw, when a wicked
deflection fell kindly to the feet of the home side forwards
and they rounded the exposed keeper before slotting home
the winner. TMS went on the offensive and kept plugging
away to the final whistle but without reward and the match
ended in a narrow defeat.
