TMS
failed to impress against a poor Spice side who had previously
conceeded 18 goals in just three games.
Threemilestone were behind within minutes when poor marking from a corner allowed
an easy flickon to beat the motionless Stones keeper. Half way through the half
however Jones ran on to a through ball to equalise with a well struck right foot
shot past the Spice Keeper. TMS then had the majority of the play with good work
from defenders Mark Woolcock, John Lewis and midfield engine Darren Woolcock
but they failed to convert several half chances before the break.
The second half
saw TMS use all three substitutes including player-manager
Richard Luff but to little effect and a hopeful up and under
from the Spice midfield set up a one-on-one with Stones keeper
Dave Hill, Hill hesitated and the Spice forward took full
advantage slotting home the winner.
On reflection
no lack of battle from TMS but they need to improve the technical
side of their game in order to turn matches their way.
