This was
a much better performance by TMS, carrying on where they
left off the previous week at Troon.
After a substantial period of end to end play the home
side made the breakthrough they were looking for, when
Man of
the Match Ryan Eustice crossed from the left for Richard
Luff to peel of his marker and finish with ease. Wendron
continued to push for a goal of their own which came despite
a vociferous offside appeal that fell on deaf ears. Wendron
then took the lead just before half time when a corner
sailed in past the keepers outstretched arms, and the whistle
signaled
the break with the score 1:2.
The second half began
with the home side getting more of the game, but being
unable to turn good pressure into goals. Twenty five minutes
into the half Elliot Jolly came of the bench and last
years top scorer duly leveled the scores with a cool
finish from just inside the area. A draw looked to be a
fair result for both teams, until with just three minutes
remaining Wendron snatched a winner following a defensive
mix up between Pascoe and Hill in goal which allowed a
flicked header to creep over the line.
TMS deserved more from
the game and are continuing to gel as a side, despite the
forced changes in personal again from injuries and other
commitments and it surely won't be long before the tide
turns and a victory ensues.
