  Managers Match Report...

TMS were on their travels this weekend when they traveled down to Newlyn to play Mousehole (Newlyn play at Penzance? It's a funny old game football!)

Both sides took a long time to settle into any kind of rhythm with poor passing and a woeful pitch making it hard to take a grip on the match. Mousehole made a few good chances mid way through the half and continued to chuck themselves at everything to ensure their goal remained intact. Steve Howson and Mark Taylor were beginning to create good chances interlinking down the right hand side as TMS started to take a hold on the game as they adapted to the undulating surface and they finished the slightly stronger side as the half time whistle blew with the scores level.

In his half time team talk manager Phil Pascoe asked for a better final ball and within minutes of the restart top scorer Mark Taylor duly obliged breaking the deadlock with a well taken finish. TMS looked like running away with it as they created several more good chances, but Mousehole hit back with a goal of their own following a mix up in defence which left the keeper stranded and the striker with a simple tap in to level things at one a piece. Both sides then created some good chances but it was TMS who edged ahead when Taylor scored number two bundling the ball over the line at the back post. TMS began to look comfortable with the lead and wrapped up the match when substitute Gary Underhill cleverly flicked on a cross to an unmarked Taylor who headed in number three and completed his hat-trick.
