In an
even first half both teams had chances but Threemilestone
led at half time 1-0 after a free kick from Terry Spargo
was driven into the storm penalty box for Marc Taylor to
volley in.
Taylor struck again fifteen minutes into the second half.
Seeing the goalie well off his line, Taylor chipped him
from 35yards. Storm then hit back with a fine goal from
the full back, and then were awarded a penalty which Kev
Pellow saved. Taylor took the pressure off the Stones defence
with a tap in to make it 3-1 with ten minutes to go.
The game was virtually over when well into injury time storm
were given another penalty, once again big Kev made an excellent
save only for the referee to djudge that he had moved forward
off his line. Storm's third penalty of the afternoon finally
beat Kev, who had an excellent game throughout.
