Threemilestones
first game of the season proved to be a stroll in the park
against a hard working but technically poor Trispen side.
TMS were in front after 4 minutes,
Lee Fairly pounced on a goal bound effort from Ian Jay and
diverted the ball past the Trispen goalkeeper. Fairly got
on the end of a right wing cross to score his second on the
half hour, two minutes later Marc Taylor last years club
top-scorer opened his account for the season getting the
last touch on a Ryan Stephens shot to make it 3:0. Ian Jay
scored just before half time to virtually seal the game at
the break.
A lack of concentration at
the start of the second half handed Trispen their only goal,
but Marc Taylor soon restored the 4 goal cushion heading
in from a well taken corner from Anthony Caddy. Dan Taylor
scored the final and best goal of the evening 15 minutes
from time with a 20 yard dipping shot that left the goalkeeper
stranded and rounded off a good evenings work for the Stones.
