30/04/08 - ILLOGAN RBL 2, THREEMILESTONE 0

Report to follow.

26/04/08 - THREEMILESTONE 7, ROBARTES ARMS 0

TMS cruised to a easy victory without ever actually looking at ease with their own game. Both sides struggled with the uneven surface and TMS held a slender 1:0 lead at the break through Ryan Stephens early effort.
In the second half however the home side killed off the visitors with a further 6 goals including a Marc Taylor hat-trick.

19/04/08 - TROON 4, THREEMILESTONE 1

With several players unavailable the Stones were forced to travel to Troon with just 11 men and got off to the worse possible start, conceeding a goal inside the first five minutes. Despite the set back the stones responded two minutes later with a good chance at the other end when Danny Taylor forced a great save from the keeper. Troon playing down the slope had the majority of possession in the first half but the Stones defence and Ian Jay in goal kept the score at 1-0 at the break. Threemilestone started the 2nd half brightly and this caused unrest within the Troon team who decided to fall out with their own team mates as well as the ref, linesmen and opposition!  Terry Spargo levelled the score after 60 minutes with a great solo effort, he ran through on his own from the right full back position with Troon appealing for offside to fire a low shot past the keeper. Unfortunately for the Stones they were unable to add to the score whilst on top and with several players carrying injuries were hit three times in the last ten minutes as Troon dominated the closing stages.

12/04/08 - ROBARTES ARMS 1, THREEMILESTONE 1

Threemilestone started the game well and created several good chances from the start, Marc Taylor came closest to opening the score and was also unlucky with a couple of close offsides against him, which would of seen him through on goal. Despite having the better chances both teams went in at the break 0-0. The Stones finally opened the scoring ten minutes into the second half when Nathan Crowle headed in from close range, following a long throw from Stephens.
The rest of the half Robartes dominated and the stones had to hang on to try and secure a victory, with Jayer pulling off a few great saves and the home side rattling the crossbar on two occasions it looked like luck was going our way. Unfortunately in the last minute in a desperate bid to clear the ball from inside the six yard box, Stephens caught a robartes players foot and the ref had no hesitation in pointing to the spot. The penalty was put away with ease and robartes gained the draw that their second half football deserved.

05/04/08 - ST JUST 1, THREEMILESTONE 6

A hat trick from Marc Taylor helped the stones overcome a tricky tie down at St Just. Taylor opened the scoring after fifteen minutes with a brave header from Terry Spargo's cross. St Just hit back ten minutes later, when hesitation in defence allowed the home side the equaliser. With the wind behind them the home side created some good chances before half time, but they were unable to add to the score.
Threemilestone took control in the second half and on the hour Mike Hodges opened up the defence and crossed from the right for Ryan Stephens to head in. Roles were reversed five minutes later when Stephens crossed for Hodges to score from the centre of the penalty area. Taylor scored the fourth with a great solo effort, beating two defenders before slotting the ball under the advancing keeper. Tim Grose set up Taylor with his third of the day with a clever back heel from the edge of the area into the path of Taylor who slid the ball past the keeper. The final goal came five minutes from time when Anthony Caddy's cross from the left decieved the keeper who let it loop over him and it hit the back post before going into the net

02/04/08 - THREEMILESTONE 2, STORM 0

Two goals from Nathan Crowle were enough to see TMS into the final of the Dunn Cup to be played against Illogan RBL on the 11th of May at Marazion.

29/03/08 - GULVAL 0, THREEMILESTONE 3

With Gulval sitting third from bottom this on paper looks like a predictable away win for Threemilestone, but Gulval always give their opposition a good game at home and with Jowen May and Darren Steadman lining up in attack this was never going to be that easy. Playing with the strong wind in the first half the Stones took the lead after twenty minutes when Ryan Stephens beat the offside to run in and score from 18 yards. Ten minutes later centre half Paul Hopkinson found himself in the opposition's penalty area and his ball across goal was fumbled by the home keeper under pressure from steve Howson and the ball ended up in the net for 2-0.
In the second half the Stones defence kept gulval at bay and restricted them mainly to long shots which rarely troubled Jay despite the strong wind. Nathan Crowle then sealed a good win for the stones with the third goal fifteen minutes from time with a cracking shot from just inside the box that gave the keeper no chance.

15/03/08 - THREEMILESTONE V STORM

Match postponed.

08/03/08 - ST IVES TOWN 0, THREEMILESTONE 3

With last weeks shock defeat still fresh in the minds, the stones could of easily been turnrd over again this week, St Ives has never been a ground to look forward to and with a depleted squad and the manager working it was a bare eleven players that travelled to the saltings.
With so many unavailable Dan Taylor switched to the centre of midfield and Adam Stephens came up from the reserves to play down the right. The team bounced back well with Ryan Stephens grabbing a goal and Nathan Crowle the other two, as the team put in a good passing game to finish comfortable winners 3-0

01/03/08 - GOONHAVERN 2, THREEMILESTONE 1

Threemilestone suffered only their second defeat of the season, and surprisingly to the club sitting at the foot of the table, who had already managed a draw against the title challengers earlier in the season. The Stones  had the lions share of possession early on but found the home keeper in good form and he dealt comfortably with the early chances. Threemilestone took the lead after half an hour when Sulli Gardner fired in from close range after good work down the right from Anthony Caddy and Nathan Crowle.  A lapse in concentration allowed Goonhavern to equalize a minute later with a good run down their right and a finish from the edge of the box.
The Stones fell behind fifteen minutes into the second half after Terry Spargo tried to head a ball back to the keeper but with the ball picking up pace in the strong wind  the ball looped over the goalie and into the empty net. Goonhavern defended their slender lead well and despite Stevie Howson hitting the crossbar twice with shots from outside the box the home side held on for a deserved victory.

23/02/08 - THREEMILESTONE 3, TREVENSON UTD 3

Six goals were shared between the two sides lying first and second in the league table in this exciting game at Polstain Road, well referee'd by Steve Rose.  Trevenson took the lead after fifteen minutes when they capitalised on some poor defending to release their man on the right hand side of the penalty area, who was left unmarked and had time to drive the ball away from the reach of Ian Jay in the Stones goal and into the net.  Threemilestone equalised ten minutes later when Ryan Stephens crossed from the left and Tim Grose, who had come up from right full back headed over the keeper from six yards.
TMS went 2-1 up early in the second half from Terry Spargo's free kick on the half way line, his kick was squared across goal from the right and with Trevenson failing to clear, Stephens reacted quickest to drill the ball past the keeper. Sulli Gardner then had a good chance to put the home side 3-1 up with a shot on the volley from 10 yards that went just over, but it was Trevenson who were next to get on the score sheet. They equalised on the hour and then took the lead ten minutes later with a fantatic strike from over thirty yards out that went like a bullet into the top corner of the goal. With ten minutes remaining Stephens brought the scores back level, he was released down the left, cut inside and with a clear view of goal calmly chipped the ball over the Trevenson keeper who had come off his line. Stephens was the TMS man of the match.

16/02/08 - SPICE OF LIFE 2, THREEMILESTONE 4

Threemilestone progress to the semi finals after victory at the saltings. The stones were missing several players and the reshuffled side took a while to get going. Chris Wilson opened the scoring after 15 minutes when st ives failed to clear the ball from inside their six yard box and Wilson pounced on the loose ball to fire in. Ryan Stephens put the stones two up 15 minutes before the break with a cracking shot from the edge of the box which gave the home keeper no chance.
In the second half St Ives pulled a goal back on the hour with a header after a good cross from the right. St Ives pushed for an equaliser but with ten minutes remaining Dan Taylor headed in at the back post from a corner to ease the pressure and to see the stones safely through to the last four.

09/02/08 - SPICE OF LIFE 2, THREEMILESTONE 4

Threemilestone came back from a goal down at half time to win in a close fought encounter at clijah croft. The home side dominated most of the first half and Ian Jay in the stones goal pulled off several top class saves to keep the league leaders in the game. Spice took the lead after half an hour when a long ball from the right hand side caught out the stones defence and the left winger darted in to head past jay from twelve yards.
Threemilestone came out a different side in the second half and soon equalised, Ryan Stephens crossed from the right side of the box and Tim Grose came in at the back post to fire into the net. Threemilestone went in front five minutes later when Nathan Crowle got the last touch after Spice had failed to clear a corner. Sulli Gardner beat the left back for Spice and crossed for Stevie Howson to score the third with a volley from six yards out. Spice of Life then pulled a goal back with ten minutes to go to give them hope of getting something from the game, but shortly after Ryan Stephens was brought down on the edge of the box and he crashed the free kick through the wall and into the net to make the game safe.
The game was marred by a suspected broken leg to Spice's Dave Bailey and all at Threemilestone wish him a speedy recovery.

02/02/08 - THREEMILESTONE 6, GWINEAR-CHURCHTOWN 0

All the goals came in the second half after the first half produced very few chances at either end, Gwinear worked hard to limit Tms to few chances although Nathan Crowle almost opened the scoring early on but gwinear's keeper Nigel Turner was quick of his line and did just enough to see Crowle's chip drop over the bar. Ryan Stephens hit a shot against the post and Sulli Gardner also came close for the stones.
Within a minute of the second half Ryan Stephens picked up the ball on the right cut inside and hit a shot from just inside the area for the first goal. within minutes the stones were 3-0 up, first Stephens slid the ball through the Gwinear defence and Sulli Gardner raced through to chip the ball over Turner, and then a mix up in defence and Gardner was in again, this time giving the keeper no chance with a shot on the volley.
Gardner got his hat trick from the penalty spot after Chris Wilson had been brought down. Tim Grose scored the fifth after 65 minutes Coolly chipping the keeper from wide on the right and then five minutes later was harshly adjudged to have conceded a penalty at the other end which Ian Jay in the Stones goal saved. Gwinear had some good chances to get on the score sheet in the last 15 minutes, but Jay was in no mood to concede and pulled off some good saves. With two minutes to go Stevie Howson fired a free kick towards goal from twenty yards and Gardner streched out a leg at the far post to stab in the sixth and final goal.

26/01/08 - THREEMILESTONE 5, ROBARTES ARMS 1

The Stones will now travel to play St Ives town in the quarter final after coming out comfortable winners against Robartes. Threemilestone took the lead after 14 minutes when Ryan Stephens linked up well with Sullivan Gardner, his run at goal was halted by a defender but Tim Grose picked up the loose ball and curled a shot into the top corner from the edge of the box. Two minutes later Gardner doubled the score with a chip over the keeper after getting on the end of Terry Spargo's through ball. Just before the break Stephens poked a ball forward and the visitors keeper made a complete hash of his clearence with the ball rolling through into the net for 3-0.
Five minutes into the second half Stevie Howson made it 4-0 with a shot from the edge of the "D" after gardner had pulled the ball back from the left side of the penalty area. Nick Mills pulled one back for Robartes with a superb 25 yard strike on the volley. Howson made sure of victory with good run from just inside the visitors half, the keeper made an initial block but the ball fell kindly back into the path of Howson who tapped in from 12 yards.

19/01/08 - THREEMILESTONE 3, HOLMANS 1

With several games postponed due to waterlogged pitches, Threemilestone took the opportunity to take over from Portreath at the top of the table. Holmans started the game well and looked a much better team than there league position suggests and the stones found them difficult to break down early on. Several balls were being over hit in the strong wind which carried them safely through to the visitors keeper. After half an hour a ball from Ryan Stephens was flicked on by Marc Taylor into the path of Sulli Gardner, he saw the keeper coming out to close him down and slotted the ball under the keeper and into the net from the edge of the box. Taylor made it 2-0 after 38 minutes beating a hopeful offside call to run through and again beating the keeper with a shot from the edge of the penalty area. Within two minutes the stones had scored again, this time Anthony Caddy found Gardner with his pass from midfield, Gardner took the ball down the left to the edge of the box before  beating the keeper with another excellent finish. Just before the half time whistle Ian Jay pulled off a great one handed save and then a good block from a second shot to keep the score at 3-0 at the break.
With the wind behind them Holmans put in a good second half display and had the majority of possession early in the half, they were rewarded for their efforts with a goal after 70 minutes from Tony Eddy after a good break down the left. Despite this setback the stones were able to soak up the pressure from the visitors as they pushed for another and also had chances of their own at the other end with Dan Taylor and Gardner both firing just wide.

12/01/08 - THREEMILESTONE 5, WENDRON 0

Threemilestone came out winners with four second half goals on a heavy rain soaked pitch at Polstain Road. The Stones took the lead after 25 minutes of the first half when Marc Taylor pounced on a loose ball which the visitors keeper should of collected comfortably, but Taylor nipped in and pulled the ball back into the six yard box for Ryan Stephens to head into the net. Wendron dominated the early stages of the second half but were unable to break through a strong TMS defence in which Pete Pascoe was excellent. The Stones increased the lead after 65 minutes when Chris Wilson put Sulli Gardner away down the right, and his cross was perfect for Marc Taylor to head in from six yards. Taylor made it 3-0 five minutes later when Martyn Jay got on the end of a wendron goal kick and headed the ball into the path of Taylor's run, who carried the ball on into the box and slid the ball past the keeper. Gardner finished the game off with two goals in two minutes, his first an unstoppable shot from just inside the box that gave the keeper no chance and the fifth goal five minutes from time from a tight angle, in which he put the ball back across the keeper to sneak it just inside the back post

05/01/08 - HALSETOWN 5, THREEMILESTONE 7

For the second game running Threemilestone hit seven goals in a game which although they conceded five, the Stones were always on top of. Marc Taylor opened the scoring after only two minutes, running on to Stevie Howson's through ball to slide the ball nicely under the keeper. Sulli Gardner then doubled the score a minute later with a similar goal, this time getting on the end of a through ball from Nathan Crowle and slotting the ball under the advancing keeper. Taylor added another after 15 minutes again catching the Halsetown defence pushing up to race through and beat the keeper on his near post. Halsetown pulled a goal back from a corner on the half hour, but Taylor restored the Stones three goal lead, heading in from six yards after Chris Wilson's header was cleared off the line. Five minutes before half time the home side were awarded a controversial penalty in which neither side seemed to know why but the penalty was well taken and brought the score to 4-2 at the break.
Taylor added his fourth goal shortly after half time after Wilson had set him up he lobbed the keeper from the edge of the box. Ryan Stephens then grabbed a brace, the first from the penalty spot after Gardner had been brought down, and his second came directly from a corner. Halsetown then grabbed a goal back with a good individual effort, the player running through several challenges before hammering the ball into the bottom corner for 7-3. In the closing stages after an icey cold heavy shower the home side pulled back another two goals the first on 88 minutes after Crowle had slipped when making a challenge on the edge of the box, and five minutes into stoppage time Tim Grose sliced a clearance backwards into the roof of the net for a classic own goal.

29/12/07 - ILLOGAN 0, THREEMILESTONE 7

Threemilestone continue to keep pace with the leaders after this impressive score line at Oxland Parc. The early stages were evenly matched with Illogan having a couple of good efforts just wide of the target before the stones started to pin the home side back.  With half an hour gone the Stones were rewarded for their efforts with a penalty after a handball, Ryan Stephens gave Shaun Carter the Illogan keeper no chance with his spot kick. The lead was doubled shortly after when Chris Wilson flicked the ball goalward and an illogan defender trying to head the ball back to his keeper headed into his own net. Ryan Stephens made it 3-0 before half time with a shot from the angle of the 18 yard box, that squeezed through a couple of defenders and into the bottom corner.
On the hour Sulli Gardner was replaced by Nathan Crowle up front and within thirty seconds of the change Crowle was on the end of a through ball to volley past the keeper with his first touch of the game from twenty five yards out. Stephens scored his third, sliding the ball under the advancing keeper from just inside the box ten minutes later to make it 5-0.  Liam Patterson also on as a sub scored with ten minutes to go to take the tally to six when he found the net from six yards after Dan Taylor had made a good run down the right before cutting the ball back from the touchline. Stephens capped a man of the match performance with his fourth and the final goal after breezing past a couple of Illogan defenders to fire a low shot past Carter who had made some fine saves during the match but again could do nothing to prevent the goal.

22/12/07 - THREEMILESTONE v GWINEAR - OFF-

This weekends match was cancelled when Gwinear failed to get a side together.

15/12/07 - THREEMILESTONE 2, REDRUTH UTD 0

Threemilestone scored a goal in each half to overcome a solid display from the visitors, Nathan Crowle scored the first after half an hour after a Ryan Stephens throw in was flicked on by Chris Wilson and Crowle was in the perfect position to fire in from six yards out.
Marc Taylor secured the three points for the Stones with the second goal mid way through the second half after getting on the end of another throw in from Stephens to flick the ball past the keeper from close range.

24/11/07 - THREEMILESTONE 3, ST IVES TOWN 1

Threemilestone picked up another three points with a comfortable win against a lowly St Ives Town side.  Marc Taylor opened the scoring after five minutes with a header from six yards, getting on the end of a good cross from Tim Grose.  Taylor doubled the score ten minutes later, running on to Chris Wilson's through ball to chip the keeper twelve yards out. The Stones made it 3-0 on twenty minutes when Ryan Stephens wayward shot from the left was picked up by Dan Taylor on the right side of the area and he drilled a shot low and hard into the net giving the keeper no chance.
A better performance from St Ives in the second half saw them pulled a goal back mid way through the half with a long range effort, and although they made more of a game of it the Stones were rarely troubled at the back and were unlucky not to increase their score with two efforts from Dan Taylor and Stephens that hit both posts and somehow bounced out of play.

17/11/07 - THREEMILESTONE 2, TROON 1

In this cracking game between two of the title challengers, Threemilestone came back from a goal down at half time after conceding from the penalty spot to take all three points with two beauties in the second half. The first half was an even affair with Troon looking the more dangerous early on and the Stones on top towards the end of the half.  Troon took the lead after twenty minutes with a penalty when Pete Pascoe was penalised for jumping into his opponent when going up for a header from a Troon cross from the left. Marc Taylor had the ball in the Troon net five minutes before half time but his effort was ruled out for offside and Chris Wilson also came close with an effort that took a deflection and looped up over the crossbar.
The Stones raised the tempo at the start of the second half and deservedly got the equaliser twenty minutes into the half, Ryan Stephens scored with a jinking run through the Troon defence and fired in a perfect strike low across goal from a narrow angle.  Troon had a good chance to go back in front as the game flowed from end to end with a glanced near post header that went just wide, but Marc Taylor hit the winner with a great effort for TMS with ten minutes remaining. Taylor with his back to the Troon goal, brought the ball down turned and hit a shot on the volley into the top corner from about thirty yards out. The three points see's the Stones leapfrog their opponents in the table on goal difference and with a game in hand.

10/11/07 - THREEMILESTONE 4, CORNISH NEW BOYS 2 (AET)

A cup upset looked on the cards as an enthusiastic and hard working Cornish New Boys side from the Third Division led 1st Division Threemilestone 2-0 with twenty minutes to go. The Stones had the best chances in the first half but were unable to convert any chances, hitting the bar and finding the New-Boys keeper in fine form.
New boys took the lead three minutes into the second half after the home defence missed a chance to clear on the edge of the box and the New-Boys right sided midfielder nipped in to drive the ball home. Things looked even worse for the Stones when the visitors increased their lead after sixty minutes when a TMS attack broke down and they were hit on the counter attack with a good break down the left and a chipped shot from just inside the box. This seemed to kick start the Stones into action and from this point the home team took control and pulled a goal back after 70 minutes, Ryan Stephens firing in with a header from twelve yards from a good cross from the right by Nathan Crowle. The  equalising goal came from TMS keeper Daniel Geach ten minutes later with a kick out of his hands, with the strong wind the ball travelled to the other penalty box where Crowle challenged the keeper but the ball cleared them both to drop into the net. With the introduction of Marc Taylor off the bench and the New-Boys team looking very tired Threemilestone had the game won within six minutes of the extra time, Taylor hit both goals twice running through the defence to slot the ball under the keeper, who along with Andy Williams in midfield had an outstanding game for the plucky Cornish New Boys side.

03/11/07 - HAYLE 3, THREEMILESTONE 2

The Stones crashed out of the Junior Cup away to Hayle.

27/10/07 - THREEMILESTONE 12, GULVAL 1

Threemilestone went goal crazy against bottom of the table Gulval at Polstain road. The Stones cruised into a 3-0 lead within the first ten minutes. Ryan Stephens had the first after just two minutes and Nathan Crowle fired in a header from a Stephens corner five minutes later, Chris Wilson put away the third after hessitant defending from the visitors. Crowle grabbed his second after forcing the keeper into a mistake, and tapping in the loose ball. Stephens scored the fifth after half an hour with a great solo effort, picking up the ball on the half way line he took the ball down the left beating several defenders before cutting back inside to fire through a crowded six yard box. Anthony Caddy put away goal number six with a shot from sixteen yards, and Marc Taylor scored two in two minutes to take the tally to eight at half time. His first a close range header and the second a brilliant strike on the volley.
In the second the half sweeper Ian jay went forward for a corner and his shot from the edge of the box was deflected in by a defender for the ninth goal before Gulval grabbed a consolation goal when some sloppy defending was punished. Stevie Howson came on with twenty minutes remaining and soon had two goals to his name, the first a nice chip over the keeper from twenty yards and his second a delightful flick from a near post corner. Ryan Stephens finished what he had started with the final goal and his hat-trick five minutes from time, tapping in from three yards after the keeper had blocked several attempts.

20/10/07 - CROWN INN GLORY 0, THREEMILESTONE 5

The glory was all Threemilestones as they swept aside 3rd Division side Crown Inn in this Arthur Pearce preliminary round tie.

13/10/07 - FALMOUTH ALBION 1, THREEMILESTONE 2 (aet)

Ryan Stephens scored the goals that finally put Threemilestone through to the second round of the Junior Cup after 210 minutes of football failed to seperate these two evenly matched sides. Threemilestone started the game well and were well on top but squandered several good chances before taking the lead midway through the first half with a penalty. Two minutes before the break Ryan James looked like he was going to level the scores but Daniel Geach pulled off a match winning save in the stones goal, tipping james' shot onto the post.
Albion came back well in the second period and pushed for an equaliser which came with fifteen minutes remaining, Patrick Whitcombe benifiting from a mix up in the stones defence to tap in from six yards out. Threemilestone again gained the upper hand at the start of the first period of extra time and scored what proved to be the winner after ten minutes, when a cross from Dan Taylor was suberbly volleyed past Carl Murphy in the Falmouth goal by Stephens from the centre of the penalty area.

06/10/07 - THREEMILESTONE 2, FALMOUTH ALBION 2 (aet)

Report to follow.

29/09/07 - TREVENSON UTD 2, THREEMILESTONE 4

The home side had the lions share of possesion in the first period but fell behind after five minutes to a well taken goal by Marc Taylor. From Daniel Geach's long kick, Nathan Crowle played the ball into the path of Taylor who hit a shot with the outside of his boot over the keeper from a good twenty yards out. Trevenson continued pushing on down the slope at Pool School but most balls ran through to Geach who showed a safe pair of hands and was quick of his line to sweep up nicely behind the Stones defence. Five minutes before half time Taylor set up Crowle for a 2-0 lead at the break. From a Ryan Stephens throw Taylor headed across goal into the path of Crowle who smashed the ball in on the volley from six yards out.
Trevenson were again on top at the start of the second period and a slip on the edge of the box from Grose allowed a Trevenson forward a clear sight on goal and he made no mistake with a powerfull strike. Within five minutes of the restart Trevenson had pulled level a long ball from the right went over the top of Jay and another good strike gave Geach no chance. Taylor restored the lead for the Stones with fifteen minutes remaing with a simple near post header, again from a Stephens throw in. With the home side having to push on in search of an equaliser the lively Crowle got in behind the defence and as he raced towards goal was wrestled to the ground inside the penalty area, Stephens secured the points with a well taken penalty.

22/09/07 - THREEMILESTONE 5, HALSETOWN 3

The Stones keep pace with the top two with this win over mid-table Halsetown, TMS started slowly and it was the away team that opened the scoring after just 3 minutes with a back post header following a corner. Halsetown then had a couple of further chances early on but their shooting was off target. Threemilestone slowly came into the game and Dan Taylor grabbed the equaliser after 25 minutes with a low shot from 12 yards out. Marc Taylor then made things a little more comfortable with a brace just before half time, the first after anticipating a ball back to the keeper and nipping in to stab the ball past the stranded keeper. His second came from Sulli Gardners header which again left the keeper stranded and Taylor had a simple tap in from six yards.
Mid way through the second half the Stones increased their lead from a throw in which Taylor flicked on and Chris Wilson found himself unmarked at the back post and drove the ball into the back of the net from close range. Taylor grabbed his hat trick goal ten minutes from time after a pacey run down the right before cutting back inside and hitting his shot which deflected off a Halsetown player and up over the keeper. With the Stones easing off, Halsetown pulled a goal back with five minutes remaining and another with two minutes left, but ran out of time to threaten any chance of sharing the points.

15/09/07 - REDRUTH 0, THREEMILESTONE 2

A goal in each half and a solid defensive display was enough for victory against newly promoted Redruth. The opening goal came mid-way through the first period. Ryan Stephens throw in was headed goal ward by Marc Taylor and although looking like going in, Dan Taylor got a slight touch to make sure. The Stones had several other chances in the first half the closest from Chris Wilson, who's volley from 18yards clipped the crossbar.
Twenty minutes into the second half Nathan Crowle scored his first of the season. After good work down the right from Tim Grose and Dan Taylor, Grose picked out Crowle with a cross, and Crowle blasted a shot on the volley past the keeper from eight yards. Gary Underhill came off the bench for a rare appearence and looked to have scored a third with a header two minutes from time, but somehow the home keeper scooped the ball away right on the goal line.

12/09/07 - HOLMANS 2, THREEMILESTONE 9

Sulli Gardner opened the scoring in the 2nd minute of the game from six yards after linking up well with strike partner Marc Taylor. Directly from the restart Holmans won a free kick on the left, from the resulting free kick Holmans equalised with a header which everyone seemed to stand and watch go in. Holmans were under pressure for long periods and it came as no suprise when the Stones regained the lead. Taylor  capitalised on a poor goal kick and ran with the ball back into the area before firing under the keeper.  Ian Jay had a perfectly good goal ruled out following a foul on Caddy, his free kick ended in the back of the net missing everyone on the way, but the Referee claimed the kick was indirect. Within a minute the Stones were 3-1 up with the goal of the game, Working the ball down the left before switching it across goal where Dan Taylor outpaced the defender and fired in from close range. Four more goals were added in a hectic eight minutes before half time when Holmans despite plenty of effort seemed to fall apart. Chris Wilson hit a volley towards the top corner which hit a player on the back and went in the other corner, Sulli weaved his way to the edge of the box and his shot was blocked but still found its way into the net, Sulli grabbed another similar goal but from the from left after good work from Grosey, and Marc Taylor got the seventh on the stroke of half time with a cross to the far post with dropped over the keeper and into the net.
With the game won EJ and Caddy were rested at half time, but within a minute of the restart a Holmans defender had deflected a Marc Taylor cross into his own net. Dan Taylor was taken down inside the box ten minutes later and Geachy was given the chance to try his luck from the spot, he started his 80 yard run up from his end of the field failed to stop to compose himself and fired the ball well over. Holmans pulled a goal back on seventy five minutes but with the manager now on as a sub for Stephens the tide soon turned back in favour of Tms and Marc Taylor set up Sulli to grab his fourth of the night and the final goal.

08/09/07 - STORM 0, THREEMILESTONE 3

With the home side missing several key players through injuries, Threemilestone were on top in this game from the kick off and deservedly took the lead after 15 minutes Anthony Caddy won a tackle inside the TMS half and from the resulting break Ryan Stephens attacked down the left before cutting inside and sliding the ball past the keeper. Despite several good chances the Stones were unable to add to the score before half time. Storm were more threatening at the start of second half but couldn't break through the well organised TMS defence, and found themselves 2-0 down on the hour. Dan Taylor put in a cross right under the crossbar which the keeper could only parry, Sulli Gardiner was first to the loose ball and fired in. Gardiner made sure of the points with his second goal five minutes later, Marc Taylor flicked the ball on into the path of Gardiner who ran in on goal before slipping the ball over the advancing keeper.

04/09/07 - THREEMILESTONE 3, GOONHAVERN 3

Marc Taylor grabbed a late equaliser as the visitors nearly pulled off a shock win at Polstain Road in this midweek match. TMS's other goalscorers were Anthony Caddy and Ryan Stephens.

01/09/07 - THREEMILESTONE 3, ILLOGAN RBL 0

The Stones came out comfortable 3-0 winners against a young lively Illogan side. Right back Tim Grose opened the scoring after fifteen minutes following Ryan Stephens corner kick, Grose attacked at the near post to place an angled header from six yards through a crowd of defenders on the goal line. Illogan started the second half well and hit the post early on, before Threemilestone increased the lead and killed off any chance of an Illogan come back mid way through the second period. Stevie Howson put in an inch perfect cross from the right straight into the path of Sulli Gardiner who fired the ball into the net. Ryan Stephens made sure of the points with a fine solo effort with five minutes remaining, picking up the ball just inside the Illogan half he was allowed to run past a couple of half hearted tackles before striking a shot from eighteen yards  that gave the keeper no chance.
